About Me.

Sydney Stremming is a senior at Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of
Journalism and Mass Communication. She is a Midwest Kansas girl at heart
with a lively personality. Through a great upbringing, she was taught to create goals,
work hard, and achieve them. In the spring of 2025, Stremming will graduate with a
bachelor’s degree in Sports Journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications.

Stremming balances her time between the Public Relations Lab and her role as the current media designer for Foothills Animal Rescue, where she produces social media content, designs campaigns and assists with public relations for the non-profit. During her time there, she has increased the organization’s Instagram followers by 43% and their TikTok followers by 1,838%. This growth has drawn more interest in the rescue, and significantly raised awareness and engagement in the North Scottsdale community. Stremming’s ability to manage these responsibilities while pursuing her education demonstrates her strong work ethic. The Agency’s Public Relations team allows her to work with real clients in a simulated public relations agency setting.

Stremming first gained experience in journalism in high school, when she was the managing and social media editor for her yearbook. Before heading to college, Sydney interned with the Kansas City Royals creative department, Pine Tar Collective. During her time at Cronkite, Stremming’s work has been published by the East Valley Tribune, Arizona Preps 365 and the Scottsdale Progress. Stremming has also earned a spot on the Dean’s List for five semesters.
